TEHRAN, Iran – Multiple media outlets and social media accounts are reporting that explosions were heard across Tehran Friday morning local time, with Israel announcing it has conducted pre-emptive strikes against Iran’s nuclear development infrastructure. Israel had earlier said that intelligence indicated Iran was “days away” from having nuclear weapons, had developed a plan to neutralize Israel, and that the window to disrupt these capabilities was closing quickly. Israeli residents have been put on high alert as the Israeli Defense Forces expect retaliations that will likely include missiles and drones, with non-essential services ordered suspended earlier yesterday Tel Aviv-time.
