Trump Cuts G7 Short, Orders Complete Tehran Evacuation as US Hints at Direct Action in Iran–Israel Conflict

Published:

WASHINGTON / KANANASKIS – Hours ago, U.S. President Donald Trump made the sudden decision to leave the G7 summit in Canada one day early and ordering key advisers to the White House Situation Room – amid signs that the U.S. is readying itself to directly support Israel in its conflict with Iran. The U.S. Embassy in Tel Aviv was damaged early Monday morning by Iranian missile fire.

According to Fox News host Lawrence Jones, Trump “requested that the national security council be prepared in the situation room as he returns early from the G7 summit in Canada Monday night.” That report was corroborated by a White House spokeswoman, signaling an immediate escalation in U.S. posture.

“Because of what’s going on in the Middle East”

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt told CBS News that Trump would leave “after dinner with Heads of State” due to “what’s going on in the Middle East,” during the summit in Kananaskis, Alberta.

Explicit Threats Toward Tehran

On Truth Social, Trump urged a mass evacuation: “Everyone should immediately evacuate Tehran!” and warned, “IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON,” while asserting that Iran had spurned a deal he had previously offered.

U.S. Signals Preparation for Military Support

Although U.S. officials insist America is not currently engaging in strikes on Iran, they acknowledge involvement in missile interception and defense coordination with Israel. Analysts note that readying the Situation Room frequently precedes decisions to provide direct military hardware – or even U.S. assets such as bunker-buster munitions.

One senior G7 diplomat commented that European leaders are pressing Trump for de-escalation, but U.S. messaging remains firm: Iran must either reach an acceptable deal or face consequences.

Diplomatic Rift at G7

Trump’s departure came shortly after he declined to sign a joint G7 statement calling for a ceasefire – in contrast to the other weaker-minded G7 leaders advocating negotiation.

Now back in Washington, the President is expected to meet with his National Security Council in the Situation Room. Watch for announcements of U.S. military aid or potentially covert operations in support of Israel. This marks a pivotal shift in U.S. engagement – from diplomatic caution to explicit readiness – as the White House signals it may enter the conflict directly.
